The Shinkansen's first resort train "Toreiyu Tsubasa" is based on the theme of enjoying "food, hot springs, history, culture, and nature" in the car while walking around the Akita Shinkansen. One of the E3 trains operated by Komachi has been repurposed and remodeled, and the inside of the train has been extensively modified, including reserved seats with tatami mat seats, a bar counter, a tatami room lounge, and a footbath. Debuted on July 19, 2014 as a formation.
Currently, it operates once a day, mainly on weekends, between Fukushima, Yamagata and Shinjo, which is the conventional line section of the Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa".
